Lumber Selection

* All wooden swingsets/playsets are made of solid lumber China Fir (also known as Chinese Cedar), whose species name is “Cunninghamia Lanceolata”.

* The cut wood boards will be kiln dried to achieve a moisture under 18%, to avoid the splits during to rapid loss of water.
* Kiln drying certificates are required to be submitted to Customs & Quarantine before entering Australia. This is to certify the wood products had been pre-treated to prevent import of pests.

Regular Inspection

Your play equipment should be inspected on a regular basis. Check all nuts and bolts twice monthly during the usage season for tightness. Tighten as required. Check swings, chains, and slides for cracks or deterioration. Replacement should be made at first sign of deterioration.

Staining and Sealing

It is important to stain and seal the wood components as needed. This prolongs the life of the system by limiting moisture and UV rays. We recommend using a high-quality water-based acrylic sealant.
